32 weeks strong

These past two theater camps weeks have been rife with outings because we're already in the car dropping Ada off, so we just keep on keepin' on with errands. Covid-wise, I'm looking forward to the final performance this weekend, almost even holding my breath a little that Ada stays healthy throughout, because we'll probably go back to a lesser-extent lockdown until the birth. But until then, we got her surgical masks to wear while there instead of just her cloth ones, and the rest of us are taking advantage of mall trips and treat lunches, grocery shopping and playgrounds.

Oh, and another checkup with yet another (final) ultrasound was scheduled for Friday the 30th; this one because I'm of "advanced maternal age" this go-around. (That's a lingo improvement upon "geriatric pregnancy" for every pregnancy when a woman is 35yrs+.) But neither the scan nor the appointment took place because I had 3 minor children with me; I'm only allowed an adult support person. Let's think about that for a sec ... I can't bring the people who need me to be with them, but I may bring a volunteer adult. If I had an available adult, that person would best support me by watching the minors for an hour; wut. What's weird is that you can click back to see that I had Pippa with me already once or twice before. Sigh. We came home and watched a movie instead, which was lovely. And we borrowed a neighbor friend's doppler to get a heartbeat reading and measured my blood pressure, so we had a sort of faux-checkup.

Hitting on that geriatric thing, though, goodness, it's been a harder physical week. I hurt my back somehow, making sleeping a very difficult and sometimes painful experience, and I managed to burn, cut, or hurt myself in other ways around the kitchen, in addition to forgetting random things. Oh, and I waddle already now, too. Not all the time, it's true, but definitely, most assuredly sometimes.

On to Ada & her performance! Here she is as Nosy the Mouse, though she had a second role as Mrs. Peeper, a fancy lady at the ball, as well, and then afterwards with her congratulatory grin and flowers on the first night. Then there was a matinee on Sunday for which Nana & Pappy drove in to see!

Then there's this little monkey just because she's been funny lately. We're starting to manage her tantrums a little better at the moment; they're still horribly irritating and frustrating for everyone, but there seem to be a couple of things we can do or offer that click her out of it ... mostly.
