25!
About 4 weeks ago, right after that first post here, we had a tornado! Turned out to be quite a large one, too, albeit not terribly powerful, which was a bit of a surprise for the few neighborhoods involved. Friends from elsewhere who've moved here described it as a storm with the intensity of a hurricane but the spontaneity of an earthquake. It happened at 2am, was loud, was over quickly, and kept everyone up with adrenaline for the next 3 hours, checking on neighbors and sussing out the damage. We ended up spending just the day without power and had absolute minimal damage: 2 slate tiles from the roof and the kids' trampoline in the backyard - which blew with enough force to knock over our Juni the Scooter! And plants, of course; boo.
After that excitement passed, more beautiful spring weather hung around until only very recently. Fantastic spring this year! (Minus the torrential downpours and that tornado...) And so to take advantage, we've had a couple of crawfish boils, hunted one last time for Easter eggs to finish up the season's 50 days, even wrapped up 3rd and 1st grades, and started real summer things like Storyland with beignets and swim lessons.
Lil Baby Cinco here is ticking along quite nicely. I suffer only short spurts of ligament pains if I reach funny or haven't had enough water and otherwise have been enjoying eating lots and often plus the kids' enthusiasm for the new one. At least every couple of days Paul mentions how he's excited about seeing who's in there or not being able to wait til the birth, and the others all chime in with their "me too"s. Pip often kisses my bump, and Ada's been enjoying being old enough to catch the subtleties, like little kicks and flutters. She prays for me and baby every night.
